We set out to complement and amplify the collective ethos of the Greater Belhaven District, Chaz's hometown, in the form of delicious food, a great atmosphere, and unmatched service.

Chef Chaz Lindsay was born and raised right here in Belhaven. He began his culinary career at the age of 15 right down the road at Pizza Shack on North State Street. Since graduating from the Culinary Institute of America in 2011, he has worked alongside several award-winning restaurants around the country and abroad, including Colicchio and Sons (sous chef of the taproom), Craft (Tom Colicchio’s flagship as AM sous chef), and Eleven Madison Park (#1 restaurant in the world 2017, top 50 San Pellegrino list, Best Chef James Beard New York City).

After leaving New York City, Chaz ventured abroad to become the chef of a restaurant just an hour and a half north of Rome, Italy. Now, Chaz has come full circle by opening his new Italian-inspired restaurant, Pulito Osteria, right here in Belhaven where it all began for him.
